1. We continue to provide workplace coaching in leadership and team-building to owners and managers of small businesses who cannot make the time available to attend one of our residential programs.
   
   
2. We now also provide coaching in the workplace to individuals or small groups to develop appropriate personal attitudes, behaviours and practical leadership skills. The coaching, which is a powerful alliance focused on personal and professional development, includes subjects such as: understanding leadership theory and practice; building and maintaining effective teams; communicating; building trust and good relationships; motivating; problem solving and decision making; coaching and counselling others; delegating; dealing with difficult people; and providing effective feedback. All learning is directly related to the realities of the workplace environment and culture. Our coaching can be purpose-designed to address particular issues of concern and participants receive a comprehensive Reference Book that contains confirming précis and useful tools for workplace application.
   
   
3. Cutting Edge Technology, a company we have worked with previously, has expanded its operations in NSW through the purchase and operation of two, and in due course more, coal mines. We have assisted their senior management team in strategic planning and more recently the identification, from the 'bottom' up, of the People Principles that will guide interpersonal relationships within the company. The Principles will form the basis for the development of their leadership training to be conducted at a venue to be selected in the Blue Mountains area.
   
   
4. Thiess Pty Ltd are contracted to construct the ring road bypassing Townsville/Thuringowa and during March 08 we conducted two two-day programs for their supervisory staff to improve their leadership skills. In November the traing was extended to higher level management staff. A key aspect of this training is the employment of case studies prepared in conjunction with Thiess Management and designed to identify specific leadership issues of concern.
   
   
5. The leadership and team-building coaching programs conducted for Tony Ireland Townsville, Page and Pearce Real Estate, Holiday Inn, Downer EDI Electrical, The Good shepherd Nursing Home and Thuringowa City Council were all very well-received.
   
   
6. The programs for Tony Ireland and Page and Pearce also involved facilitation of business and staffing review and both Tony Ireland and Greg Page highly recommend our facilitation skills to conduct workshops of this nature.
   
   
7. During July 08 we conducted a Leadership Development Program for Cleveland Youth Detention Centre Supervisory staff and on 31 July - 1 August a Business Development Workshop for Osmotion, a Townsville and Perth-based Award Winning company that specialises in software, web sites, and graphic design. Both organisations were very pleased with the outcomes from our work.
   
   
8. Two-day Leadership Skills for Managers' courses were conducted in Bangkok Thailand and Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam (the locals still call it Saigon)during the period 18 - 22 August 08. Both were very well received by the local and expatriate participants. We have already been asked to prepare programs for 2009.
   
   
9. Our most recent leadership training was conducted in February 09 for Bushcare Services at Helensvale on the Queensland Gold Coast. Bushcare is involved in reclaiming and maintaining environmentally sensitive areas and its people are highly motivated in the work they do. The training complemented a management program and our focus was on developing the leadership skills of supervisors and mid-level managers. All participants rated all aspects of our training as very good to excellent.
